Reflection@Day5

Today, we went to a park and to a shopping mall. If you are wondering why has it become shopping mall but not film studio? It is because the film studio had a strike. And instead, we went to the shopping mall. First, we went to the park. Over there, the teachers has a race for us to complete. The race is called iRace. This race is played like how they show the amazing race on television. There are 6 group members in my team, team 2. There are many stations where we need to stop and do some activities before we can get our clue to the next question. At the time in station 3, our group leader was not feeling well. So, the other 5 or us have to finish the race. And after awhile again, another teammate also not feeling well. And it left 4 of us to complete the race. We run around the whole place to finish up the last few question. When we finished, the last question, we rushed to our teacher and… she announced that we won 1st prize! I was overjoyed. Our group won 1st prize and the whole group will take a picture to show that it’s victory! So that’s about all for the race.

Now, we move on to the shopping mall. The shopping mall was huge! There are a lot of shops that we could shop. When we looked around, I only found 1 gift for my brother. So it’s OK. Tomorrow, we will shop again and I surely buy something for my whole family.

I observe that the park there is not as crowded as the park in Singapore. I also observe that the shopping mall there is as big as Singapore’s shopping mall.

3 things we learn from the trip:
-We should to work as a team
- We should also cooperate with each other during teamwork
- we should learn to keep our money well

2 things I remember most from the visit:
- We won victory when we are doing the race.
- that 2 of our teammates were not feeling well but we still manage to finish the race.

Reflection@Home Visit - Day 4

Today, I went for a home visit to my buddy’s house. She is called Emma and her sister Lola. The first thing we got out of the school, they brought us to a Hindu Temple. We learnt about there are 9 gods in this temple. 1 main god in the middle and the other 8 gods surrounding it. Next, we went to their home. They live in an apartment. The apartment there was like a condominium in Singapore except it has lesser blocks. When I stepped into the house, we saw a very big living room that leads to a very big dining table. They have 2 balconies. 1 in the living room and the other just outside Lola’s room. The next thing was to eat lunch. Since this is a French family, we ate pasta with tomatoes and cucumber. I like their pasta a lot. They gave us yogurt to try also. We played board games. It was very fun. We played till it’s time to go to the park. The snake park was full of snakes and crocodiles. We took lots of pictures of different types of animals there. After the snake farm, we visited a fruit stall to have a fruit drink. I drank Apple Milkshake and it was very delicious. We went back home and played computer games. We played the gamed until it was time to go.

I think the similarities with their family and my family and my family is we like to explore around the country.

The most interesting activity is to visit the snake farm. We saw a lot of animals there.

3things I have learnt from the visit:
-We should be more caring
-We should make more friends to make life fun
-We should learn to appreciate what others gave to us.

2 things I remember most from the visit:
-We went to visit the snake farm
-Visit the Hindu Temple

1 thing I would appreciate the most from the visit:
-They used their own to help us to go to places.

Reflection@CIP - Day3

Today morning, we learnt Marshal Arts at Gateway school. It was very fun! We first have to greet the teacher by saying “Oish Sensei!” This means “Yes Teacher!”. We learnt head block, low block, side hit and punch! We put every move into one “dance”.

Next, we visit the CIP school. My first impression was, “Oh my gosh, they are so dirty.” I find the school dirty, the teachers are strict, the classrooms are dirty and the children were very unfortunate. The CIP school is very dirty, noisy, spooky and crooked. But Anderson Primary School are much cleaner, lesser noise, not so spooky and not crooked

3 things we learn :
-We should not be so greedy
-We should keep the place cleaner
-We should learn to share things

2 things that make us a better person:
-We should not be greedy and learn to share
-We should learn to share things

1 thing that we remember most:
-We should learn to share and not to be greedy

School & IT VIsits - Day 2

The Gateway school is smaller than our Singapore school. Although it is small, it can cooperate better. The school seems to have students under the age of 7 while ours, the Singapore school, has only students above 7. I also realised that they end school at around 3pm ( India Time ). For the IT company, we watched a movie on what they do in this company called Infosys. Over there, they also have a device that we could see each other from 2 different rooms. We have alot of fun there.

3 things we learn :
-We learnt how to make the clay
-We learnt hoe does Infosys make toys
-The Indian Culture

2 things we like:
-I like making the clay
-I also like seeing the VC bridge

1 thing I remember most:
I LOVE making the clay structure

A life in School

My school is called Anderson Primary School. It is in a part of Singapore named, Yio Chu Kang. In school, we have Primary 1 - 6 in primary school. And followed by Secondary. And the studies go on until we are at the age of 22 years old. But now, I am going to talk about a life in Primary School.

I am now in Priamry 4. P4 in short. I have to wake up at 6am in the morning. I leave the house at 6.30 am. We can choose to sit the school bus in school or walk to school. But for me, I am taking the school bus. In the morning, we asemble at the Parade Square or in the Hall. At 7.30am, we will start singing the National Anthem and the school song. There will be a prefect who will guide us through. At around 8am, we start our lessons. We will have our recess at 9.30am. We end school at 1pm. But only on Thursday, we end half an hour earlier which is at 12.30pm. The reason is because the teachers has a meeting in the afternoon. We have school from Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday is a resting day. After 10 weeks, we will have school holiday. When there is a special occasion, we will have public holiday.

That is all that I could say about my life in school.
